Dr. Naret Suyaroj, TTHER Project Researcher, Receives Grand Prize at the Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026 Global Final

Dr. Naret Suyaroj, Research Fellow at Edinburgh Napier University, United Kingdom, and Lecturer at the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, participated in the Huawei Most Valuable Instructor Forum 2026 and Award Ceremony in Shenzhen, China, where the project received the Grand Prize in the Teaching Competition – Industry-Education Collaboration Track at the Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026 Global Final.

The award recognised the project “AI-Powered Health Assistant & Voice Detector Integration on Huawei Cloud,” which explores the use of artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and voice analytics to support healthcare services and healthy ageing initiatives. The project was jointly developed by Dr. Naret Suyaroj and Dr. Worawit Tepsan, both Research Fellows at Edinburgh Napier University, in collaboration with the Geriatric Medical Center, Chiang Mai University. The project investigates how AI-driven information support and preliminary voice quality assessment may contribute to improved health monitoring, patient engagement, and digital health innovation.

The project reflects the growing international interest in applying emerging digital technologies to address challenges associated with ageing populations, healthcare accessibility, and long-term care. By combining expertise in digital innovation, health informatics, and applied artificial intelligence, the initiative demonstrates the potential of interdisciplinary approaches to developing practical and scalable solutions for future healthcare systems.

As part of the Huawei Most Valuable Instructor (MVI) Forum 2026, researchers, educators, and industry experts from around the world exchanged ideas and experiences on innovation, digital transformation, and future technology trends. The event provided valuable opportunities to engage with international academic and industry networks, fostering discussions on the application of advanced technologies across healthcare, education, and broader societal challenges.

Participation in the forum further strengthened opportunities for international collaboration and knowledge exchange relevant to ongoing research activities at Edinburgh Napier University.
