Dr. Naret Suyaroj and Dr. Worawit Tepsan from the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, and in their capacity as Research Fellows at Edinburgh Napier University, United Kingdom, have been awarded the Grand Prize at the international competition Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026 Global Final in the Teaching Competition (Industry–Education Collaboration Track).

The awarded project, entitled “AI-Powered Health Assistant & Voice Detector Integration on Huawei Cloud,” integrates ICDI’s teaching framework with the knowledge base and ecosystem of the Huawei ICT Academy online curriculum. The project aims to enhance undergraduate students’ capabilities in developing Digital Innovation capstone projects. It focuses on preliminary voice quality analysis combined with AI-driven information support for patients and service users, in collaboration with the Geriatric Medical Center, Chiang Mai University.

The Huawei ICT Competition is a global annual event established in 2015, aiming to promote ICT knowledge, practical skills, and innovation among students and educators worldwide. In its latest edition, the competition attracted over 210,000 participants from more than 100 countries.

For this year’s Teaching Competition, the focus is on fostering collaboration between academia and industry. Participants are required to demonstrate their ability to apply Huawei technologies in teaching and curriculum development, contributing to the advancement of education in modern digital technology fields.
