About the Seminar
How can machines learn, reason, and interact intelligently with the physical world?
This seminar explores the foundations of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and neurorobotics, focusing on how intelligent systems develop world models, understand cause-and-effect relationships, and learn through physical interaction.
Key topics include embodied cognition, neuromorphic computing, spiking neural networks, tactile sensing, and human–robot collaboration.
The presentation will highlight how advances in AI, neuroscience, and robotics could shape the next generation of adaptive, autonomous, and human-centred intelligent systems.
About the Speaker
Professor Luís Moutinho is an internationally recognised academic whose research spans emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and futures research.
He is the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Modelling in Management and was elected to the Academia Europaea in 2020. He has authored or edited 41 books and delivered keynote presentations across 63 countries.
